It usually appears as acicular crystals in lamellae or aggregates. Its color is most often yellow-orange but it is also found in colorless or violet. The hardness of Creedite is equal to 3.5/10 and its density is greater than 2.7 (1 for water). The line on the porcelain is white.
CREEDITE is a fairly rare mineral that owes its name to the town of Creede in Colorado (USA) where it was discovered in 1916.
