Sulfur
Sulfur belongs to the group of native elements. It is very abundant on our planet. Its chemical symbol is S. It generally occurs in a massive or crystalline form. Its color ranges from bright yellow to pale yellow. Sulfur is an essential element for life. It is used in the chemical industry for the production of acids and as a fertilizer in agriculture. Its hardness is low, around 2/10 on the Mohs scale (10 for diamond), and its density is greater than 2 (1 for water). The streak on porcelain is white. The name Sulfur comes from the Latin word sulphur .
