Wulfenite
Wulfenite belongs to the phosphate group. It contains lead and molybdenum. Its chemical formula is PbMoO₄ . Wulfenite occurs as flat, thin, transparent crystals or as prismatic crystals with a conical apex. Its color varies from yellow and yellow-green to red. The hardness of wulfenite ranges from 2.5 to 3 on the Mohs scale (10 for diamond), and its density ranges from 6.5 to 7 (1 for water). The streak on porcelain is a slightly yellowish-white. The name wulfenite comes from the name of the Austrian mineralogist F.X. Wülfen.
