Wavellite
Wavellite belongs to the phosphate group. It contains aluminum, phosphorus, and water. Its chemical formula is Al₃ (PO₄ ) ₂ ( OH ) ₃ · 5H₂O . It occurs as radiating crystal aggregates, generally green or yellow-green in color. Wavellite has a hardness greater than 0.3 (10 for diamond) and a density of 2.4 (1 for water). The streak on porcelain is white. It is named after its discoverer, William Wavell.
