TITANITE , formerly called SPHENE , belongs to the silicate group. It contains calcium, titanium and silicon. Titanite has a vitreous luster and is translucent. Its fracture is also conchoidal. Titanite has tabular or wedge-shaped crystals. The density of Titanite is slightly less than 3.6 (1 for water) and its hardness varies around 5/10. It is a fragile rock. The color of its translucent crystals is very variable and represents the entire visible spectrum, due to the secondary minerals that compose it such as iron, tin or aluminum.

ORTHOCLASE belongs to the group of silicates, subgroup of tectosilicates. Its chemical composition is KAlSi3O8. Inspired by the ability of Orthoclase to cleave along two orthogonal planes, its name was found by the mineralogist Johann August Friedrich Breithaupt who gave it to him in 1823 and comes from the Greek orthos: "straight". Orthoclase is a very common potassium feldspar with the same chemical formula as Microcline (Amazonite) which, however, has multiple twins. Its color varies from white to gray, yellow, pinkish red, green, pink and can even be colorless. Its density is greater than 2.55 (1 for water) and its hardness is greater than 6/10. The color of the line on the porcelain is white.
