CITRINE belongs to the silicate group. It mainly contains silicon and oxygen. Its chemical formula is the same as that of Quartz, Amethyst, or Agate, SiO2.
Citrine usually occurs in yellow pyramidal crystals. This color can be natural, but most often it comes from heated Amethyst.
