AMMONITES and GONIATITES are cephalopod mollusks belonging to the Ammonoideae family. Ammonites lived from the Early Devonian (-416 Ma) to the Upper Cretaceous (-65 Ma), while Goniatites appeared in the Early Devonian (-416 Ma) and disappeared at the end of the Permian (-250 Ma).
