Jasper belongs to the silicate group. It contains mainly silicon and has the same chemical formula as Quartz, SiO2.

It is a variety of chalcedony with microscopic crystallization.

It is mainly found in massive form. It is a very hard stone that reaches 7/10. Its density is 2.7 (1 for water) and the line on the porcelain is white.

Red JASPER contains hematite, green contains iron silicate, creamy white to gray contains clay.
