Moonstone
Moonstone belongs to the silicate group. It contains potassium, aluminum, and silicon. Its chemical formula is KAlSi₃O₈ . It is generally found in massive form. It is a variety of orthoclase. Moonstone is most often white to creamy-white with pearly blue and white reflections, but it can also be found in yellow or dark brown. Its hardness is greater than 6/10 on the Mohs scale (10 for diamond). The streak on the porcelain is white.
