Rhynchonellids belong to the articulated brachiopods and the family Rhynchonellidae. They have serrated commissures, very pronounced ribs, and strongly recurved tips. Rhynchonellids lived on the seabed. They lived from the Ordovician period (470 million years ago) to the Late Cretaceous period (65 million years ago).
